Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show 2007

On Sunday, June 3rd 2007 DeLorean Motor City participated in the Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show. Orphan vehicles are makes (not models) of cars, trucks and motorcycles no longer manufactured.

The show has gained national recognition, appearing on national TV several times, written up in the New York Times twice, featured in AUTOWEEK magazine, Cars & Parts, Old Cars Weekly, US Auto Scene and Hemmings Motor News.

This is the first time that DeLoreans were in the show. We got a lot of attention and positive comments.

Many sports cars were on hand. A 1972 Pantera.

1975 Bricklin. The owner asked us a lot of questions about DeLoreans and shared some info on his car.

1968 MG "B"

1963 Avanti Supercharged

A lot of pre-war classics were present. A 1934 Vauxhall BX roadster.

1932 REO Royale Convetible Coupe. An impressive car.

There was plenty of big post-war American iron at the show. Here is the 1952 Fabulous Hudson Hornet. Doc Hudson up close!

1955 Kaiser Manhattan

1961 Desoto

1962 Packard Hawk

MANY unique cars were on hand as well. For example, this 1961 Nash Metropolitan.

1962 Amphicars

Corvair Truck

1976 AMC Pacer

1978 Checker
